Physicians Hospital offers outpatient surgery in all categories. It is requested that patients register for surgery a couple of days prior to the day of surgery to ensure that all their preop paperwork and assessment is completed, and instructions are given to the patient prior to surgery.

The preop area at Physicians Hospital consists of all private rooms that are large and ensure privacy and confidentiality, they are equipped with a couple of guest chairs for 1-2 family members to stay with the patient until time for surgery.

A play room is available for children and their parents to stay prior to surgery, to decrease anxiety.

After surgery, the patient will go to the Recovery Room for approximately one hour before being discharged to home.

The family can stay in the surgery waiting area and will go to a private consultation room to meet with the surgeon after the surgery is completed.

The patient will be discharged with instructions to follow and date to see their doctor post surgery. They will be taken by wheelchair to the front entrance where their transportation will be instructed to meet them to take them home.
