OR Scheduling will schedule all surgical procedures, inpatient and outpatient. In addition, they will also do scheduling for Cardiac Cath Lab and Endoscopy procedures.

When calling to schedule a surgery, please have the following information available:

• Spelling of first and last name
• Date of birth
• Social security number
• Tests that are required
• Name of Physician ordering tests
• Diagnosis-reason for test
• Insurance information
• Insurance authorizations

At time of scheduling, your office will be notified if there is a special prep for the procedure.

Registration: Advise the patient to pre- register at Physician’s Hospital 2-3 days before their surgery. At that time they can also have any pre-op labs and testing done as well as pre-op teaching. They enter Physician’s Hospital through the main entrance and proceed to the inpatient/outpatient registration area.

What to expect: A Patient Accounts Representative will register the patient and will verify information. A copy of their identification card and insurance card will be obtained. The patient will then be taken to the appropriate testing/surgical area.
